Default b16 exhaust

ANYBODY have problems with the b16a exhaust manifold sitting WAY to low and hitting? It hangs 3 inches lower than the stock si exhaust.

Is there a header that will sit higher up and not scrape ?

I have the stock exhaust manifold and downpipe on my b16a and it sits perfectly. It doesn't sit any lower than the oil pan or crossmember. You might have a 1.8L manifold on there. I know they definitely sit lower than the 1.6L manifold.

i suspect thats a GSR manifold that some china man slapped on there by accident.
Check to see If the clearance between the pan and the downpipe is excessive...
It should be no more than an inch......

good luck!

Hmm, never thought of that, it sits over an inch below the pan, PITA. NOw my car is sputtering and popping at anything over 2k rpm.

So i always hear DC's are crap, but do you think it would be worth picking up a used one for the time being?? How much could i find one for , and what would i want to get, 4-1 or 4-2-1?

A few pics of your clearance and setup would be awesome

i've never heard anythign bad from dc's. you should prolly get the 4-1 header for more upper rpm power. you can prolly find one for about 150-225. i think you need the dohc vtec del sol header. could be mistaken
