CLUTCH BOLT QUESTION
My mechanic called me and said i didn't provide them with enough clutch bolts (i gave them 6) because the pressure plate and flywheel have 9 screw holes. I'm swapping a GSR tranny w/ flywheel/clutch in my integra. I called the dealer ship and they said i only need six bolts (although there are 9 holes), but the mechanic said I should fill all the holes.
Can anyone help me out? Is it necessary to get all 9? Please don't answer if you don't know...like don't say "just do it cuz the dealership said so", cuz the people that work behind the counter don't always know everything. So only answer if you know for sure...thanks!

dealership sad same thing when me and my friend needed new bolts for his B16 swap after we snapped one of the pressure plate bolts....we didn't risk it though and bought another, IMO if there are 9 holes, there NEED to be 9 bolts, not 6
I've ran on 6 bolts on the clutch plate on an aftermarket setup where I should have been using 9. Stock plate only uses 6 bolts and I wasnt aware of it at the time and b/c of time constraint i wasnt able to buy the extra bolts. I said fvsk it and just put it in. Didnt have any problems, but if you can get a hold of those bolts you probably should. safe measure id say.
what kind of clutch? ACT?
I called ACT and they said you must install the extra bolts otherwise you run the risk of having the pressure plate seperate from the flywheel.
The instructions with your clutch should provide the exact type of bolt you need to purchase and what type of material it needs to be made out of. I went to a specialty shop that sells nothing but custom bolts and hardware and they had it.
