Default Whistling Intakes???

Anyone else have an intake that whistles at certain rpms? I've ignored it for months, but it's getting to me now. Anyone know how to make it stop?

skunk 2 im are suposed to do that, its like a trademark. all be series motors do whistle when you have a intake on them. some even without. It is caused by the buterflies openeing in the manifold, and the throtle body. mine does it too i like it tho....

mine was really loud, i found that it was a rubber flap on the bypass valve was bent open. as soon as i forced it closed... it got a lot quieter.

Ha, so nobody really cared enough about the whistling to make it stop?

I guess I'll be like the majority and just ignore it.

It's just air rushing past a sharp edge. I have a homemade intake that sounds like a turbo spooling...I've had many comments about it. No one believes me when I tell them it's just an intake

RPM's don't matter, I've found that there are 2 kinds of whistle...
1) When your car is just idling and you pop the hood, the gentle whistling from the intake.

2)Skunk2 IM at about 30% throttle, regardless of RPM, it whistles LOUD.
btw, I have a VAFC, that's how I got the 30%.

factory airbox acts like a baffle hence the bulk of it your intake isnt whistling your throttle body is and it always has but your stock airbox used to baffle it
