I recently had a keyless entry alarm added,ever since I have had problems w/ the locks.Sometimes one unlocks and the other doesn't and etc. etc.Sometimes everything is just fine.Are these symptoms of a failing actuator?Or did my alarm installer cause this problem?Help please!

 

For this kind of problem I think you have to use the process of elimination. Try replacing the part you suspect to be broken. Then if the door still won't unlock, then check the wiring.

 

does the main lock/unlock switch on the door panel itself do the same problem? if it does, then the installer is not at fault. the actuator and/or wiring is faulty. if not, then go back to the installer to have the problem fixed. good luck with this. i have a 92 and i know our door locks, among other things, are old and are more susceptible to disfunction.
