when the engine is on i push in the clutch and it will go into gear and then i let out the clutch and it will not go into gear. i think its either the pressure plate or the throwout bearring but if anyone can help id appreciate it

 

That's the way it's supposed to work.
Clutch in - shift.
Clutch out - don't shift.
I'm sure you must know this. Perhaps you haven't explained the problem clearly enough?
