tires and rims?

i know this is kind of a dumb question but i need to know how big you can go with rims and tires on my 90 hatch. i am lloking at a set of 16's but i have my car dropped 4 inches and i don't want to rub the fenders any help would be great.

I remember getting ripped on for saying how dumb that is, glad to see somebody agreing on a "function over fashion" board.
