I finally started to put my b16 in and realized the rear mount that bolts onto the car in the rear is 2" or so lower than the 89-91 SIR rear mounting bracket that is coming off of my engine.

Someone said I need the 90-93 teg rear bracket while someone else said that the SIR and 90-93 Teg bracket are the same????

What to do????

 

I have a HCP kit but same setup. You need the 90-93 integra rear trans. bracket. I help put a b16 in a buddy's hatch and had the same problem. I had to order mine from Acura because nobody in town had it. I forgot exactly what it cost, I think it was like 70 or something. Anymore problems, ask away......

 

JOE at Hasport said the 90-93 teg was same as SIR. So... What is the problem, thats what I cant figure out.

 

Joe is correct ...the P/N#s are the same over here in Japan...but you say that the mount hole is about 2inches lower..???hhhhmmmmrm..do you have the side mounts on and bolted in.?? See if you are not hitting any thing or make sure that nothing is the way of the mount..?? Also try pushing down on the intake manifold to see if you can get the bolt started..
