hey whats guys. i am going to be dropping a jdm cr-vtech motor soon and i was wondering first what extra parts i will need to get in up and running. like ecu....distributer....etc... i was also wondering what and all mods i would need to get it running mid 13s range. thanks for any help you guys can give me.
before u decide to go n/a or fi u should prolly do some research, I gained respect for n/a before I started loving turbo... and I think thats a good place to start

well i realize i definitly dont have the knowledge or experience to put the motor in so i am working with a friend and his older brother who built an ls turbo. i am starting from scratch. i understand my original post was vague so ask if you need more info to help me out. you all seem so dam critical and quick to judge.
If it is your first setup ever I would do something simpler then a CRVTEC.
You can do it if you want but you should search thru posts in the Tech and Hybid section. There are also a few sites with how to build a b20vtec hybrid engine.

Do your self one favor look at the right top hand corner and there is a link that says SEARCH. ive seen tons of B20's on here turning good #' i believe one guy with a silver hatch was running 12.9 on street tires.
i am not trying to be harsh on you but if you don't know what you are doing(nor you have friends to help you), you better find someone who know about honda to do it for you. finish your own project might be priceless but it's not worth the pain.
Learn to research Einstein this site explains how to build a NA CRVTEC
we are here to help if you can take some criticisms. Its all good.

dam i dont know what is with all you people. you are all so dam critical of what other people say its unbelievable. i mean i know its VTECH but you get the freakin point when i said vtech. i am just trying to frist figure out the parts that i will need like distributor and such because i have heard that the car will not run with its stock distributor. and any other parts that i need to get it up and running. and for those of you saying "your dumb do some reasearch" THIS IS MY REASEARCH i am looking for a reply that is specific to my purpose and situation. not someone elses that was a little similar. the bottom line is if you dont want to post info then dont post. cuz your not helping anyone with giving me crap.

Its not VTECH or vtech its VTEC. VTECH is a toy and a phone company.

yes if you use a VTEC head then you will have to use that VTEC manifold and distributor. because your non VTEC dis doesnot have the plugs and will not line up to the VTEC head. You wil also need to drill some oil lines. Thus requiring a lot of LSVTEC knowledge, if you mess up the drilling you will fuckup your VTEC head.
that is why people told you to do a little

What was the point in saying this? He doesn't have a CRX and never mentioned that he was interested in a CRX.

anyone notice this guy is getting a jdm crvtec motor? Anyway, you know nothing about the engine or hondas obviously and it seems like you will never get one. Every week there is a new user posting about getting their car into the 13's or turboing it who aren't ever going to do anything to their car, and it's obvious from posts like this. You are not going to build a crvtec engine yourself so just worry about finding someone who can build it and swap it for you. Posts like this always get the same responses to search. They are so common and there is so much information on this board, I know there are tons of posts on crvtecs just search. This is why people are so harsh, no one wants to waste their finding information thats there because you are too lazy to search.

well thanks for the input. thats what i need, real people real input. you were talking about drilling oil lines can you please explain this in greater detail. you said this is necessary if the b20 is non-vtech to begin with. but if you go to the site i have underneath this post, it is selling a jdm b20 that is already vtech from japan. this leads me to believe that the jdm b20 is stock with vtech and that the distributor and manifold will work. is this a correct assumption. also would i have to drill the oil lines if this is the case. thanks for any input given. http://www.topendmotorsport.co...b20b/
