We do have that "new"
Kosei wheel for a year now. You can get it directly from Japan (but this is a kind of ordering, you US guys don`t do..well).
Look the EP3 standing beside my old R#01858... Those are the new K1 in 7*17

The old K1's were a great buy and seemed to provide a pretty strong wheel for the money.
I think I would wait a while before buying the double-spoke, new K1. Something just bugs me about those double-spoke, cast wheel designs.
My "this can't be strong" instincts are going off. LOL...
George
Whose very expensive forged wheel broke, recently.

The cp035 is a two spoke too and it`s super strong... I know it, I crushed them lol !

But what about thin spoke, cast wheel designs? K1s proved that a thin spoke wheel could be made fairly strong at an attractive price. I have a feeling that the double spoke design will be just as strong if anything.
bent some fairly expensive forged wheels too.

Buddy Club P1 (Kosei K1) has always been my favorite lightweight cast wheels at very reasonable cost. Now I have another favorite, the A-Tech Finalspeed. Same price, if not cheaper, than the K1 with very high quality. Available sizes fit the ITR perfectly too.

Gram Light has straight and thinner spokes. They look similar but I wouldn't say it's a "replica".
Here's a thread with more pics and specs in the other forum. They were putting together a killer group buy deal. Dunno if they still can get them:

There's actually a really good reason behind that, I don't remember exactly though, something about filling race tires up with a different kind of gas than normal air?
