Default EF valvetrain

I want to put new valves and springs in my car, but I want to know what I am getting myself into first. Putting ths springs in I think would be easy, but I need to know if you have to set the valves at all or do they just pop right in and ready to run. Also, does the rev limiter just automatically go up with programming anything?

???engrish??? but ya any way if you car has high milage get a valve job, you'll need to remove the head to do this, will take around 5-6 hours if you know what you are doing and dont do a valve job, in the end you'll need to adjust the valve clearances, which is easy to do when you have your Helms book. If you dont ave one dont attemt this. No the rev limiter is coded into the ecu, to change this means you have to reprogram your ecu whitch i dont recomend you attempt

it's not terribly hard, I recommend that you find a friend who has done it before though just to double check your work. If not, just make sure you use accurate tools and follow the instructions in your helms/haynes manual to the T

putting the springs in is not easy its a bitch if you don't have the right tool to do it.. and to change the valves you will need to take the head off.. your not really suppose to change the springs without taking the head off but there is ways around it. All in all.. no offense but it doesn't sound like you know what your doing.. goto a shop with your new valves and springs and tell them you want a valve job.
No rev limiters don't just go away.. you can get a reprogrammed ECU and get one higher.. but it doesn't mean your car is going to make power in the high RPMs it wasn't tuned for it
