I bought a '93 prelude that wasn't running and immediately swapped in a H22. So I have the H23 engine and tranny for sale. I don't know the complete history of the engine, but here is what I do know: The car has 160k miles, so I assume the H23 has that many miles as well. The previous owner said the engine was making a "clunking" noise, so he stopped driving it. It sat in his driveway like that for about 6 months before I bought it. I never ran the H23, but I've turned it over by hand and it turns smooth and has stiff compression. It might have a spun bearing or something, or it could be just fine. I took the timing belt tensioning bearings off and put them on the H22 to do a manual tensioner conversion. The H23 belts look new, as does the water pump, so I'm guessing they were recently replaced. It is kinda dirty, but seems to be in good shape otherwise. It is also missing the distributor for some reason.
I will take some pictures of it soon and post them up here. It will come with what is shown in the pictures. I'm asking $675 for the engine and $250 for the tranny. I'm not sure what the going rate for these are, so the prices are negotiable. Shipping will be from NM, 87111. If you can pick it up at a major airport I can probably ship for around $130. I can also take detailed pictures if you are interested. Thanks!

It looks like a tranny. Little dirty but no cracks or big dings. I think the tranny is fine. The guy was driving with it before the "clunking" noise.
Also, if people just want the head I am willing to pull it off...
