Default leak under dash...

OK, on my 1991 Integra, I have a major leak under the passenger dash. Looks like most of it comes out of the blower wheel housing. I took the cowl off and found out that the cover over the fresh air intake has some places where water can drip in like the screw holes that hold it down. I bought the replacement parts from Acura (those little "condoms" that fit over the screws) and put everything back together. I put silicone on every seam and screw to make sure nothing can get in there. After all that, I still get water on the carpet after a heavy rain. Has anybody else been thru this? How else could water be getting in there? The sunroof drain are all clear and it's definitely not the heater core. Any ideas?

Did you replace the foam weatherstrip on the cowl cover also? Those "condoms" should fix most of the leak but that weatherstrip should be replaced too.

The foam pretty much disintegrated. That's why I ran a bead of silicone around there. I used silicone on every single seam and every single screw. This will be the 3rd time opening the cowl to check it out. I can only imagine that the water isn't dropping directly in the vent but seeping in a seam. If not, I'm sealing the top of the vent altogether...can always work off the recirqulation. Another weird thing is that if I take the hoses off the blower box or the black box next to it they are always bone dry. Any ideas?
