98DX into DRAG CAR??
I just bought a 98 CIVIC DX and I'M wanting to make it a strickly drag car...anyone got any ideas on what to do...waiting untill im done with everything before i drop a motor in it though!!!
Depends on what class you would like to compete in. IMO, your best best is start of with a motor swap. Then decide if you would want to go turbo or NA. You can then compete in NHRA's Sport FWD class.

get a HUGE *** loan.
even in the sport fwd class your gonna need a fat wallet and countless hours of driving time to compete heavily and consistently.

One must first learn to crawl before one can learn to walk.
Try swaping a motor and a bolt on turbo kit first, and after that, you will know where you want to go from there. Its all fun and games in the begining. Dont skip that part man. Drag cars are all work.

When you mean strckly drag car i think you are talking about a pro car. So here it goes. Figure out what your budget allows and make sure if you are not going to drive it to the trak the first thing you need is a trailer of some sort and truck to haul it. The next things is do all your homework before you start the project reads rules ask alot of questions it never hurts to ask questions. The next thing is after all this have at it Drag your little heart all the way to the finish line. I hope you find tha drag racing very fun and alot of work. But good luck and happy Drag racing!!! By the way if you have any questions feel free to ask me anytime if i dont the answer im sure i know someone that does.

Welcome to the club buddy. It's good to hear that you are going turn the car that you bought to a drag car. See what class interest you first then concentrate on that class. You are going to need alot time to for research... good luck and best to you.
