92 si. I don't think there is any frame damage, she was only doing like 15-20. But you know how hondas crumple like a soda can lol. It's definitely fixable. even if they list it as total'd, i can fix it. If theres frame damage then im out of luck and will look for a new car. I gotta call my insurance but need to chill out a bit first. im so stressed as it is this just makes it worse

funy thing is, i never finished fixing the front. i had an appointment for the windsheild to be fixed tomorrow. jbg is sending my the part i need to fix my head light. and then i'd just bang a dent out of my fender and voila, new prelude. but noooooooooo, stupid lady in durang

It's always that way. In my previous lude (3g) I had 3 accidents in one month One guy parked in my rear- 2 weeks in the shop... Then I got car and in 2 days another guy hit the driver door. I wanted to pick up an used door so I went to the other city and slammed the guy who felt like to stop on a green light Then one of the front corners of a car dissapeared After 3 weeks in the shop I sold this car in 1 day (I didn't want that before though).
Anyway sorry to hear about your lude, hope you fix it ASAP.

thats really shitty, sorry about your luck man. i hate to see stuff like this happen to such a nice car.

a few months ago the EXACT same thing happened to me. i was driving my little brothers 90 accord and a smokin hot blond drove her big *** red ford explorer right into the *** end of it. when she hit me i hit the minivan infront of me so i got crunched. the car was almost a full foot shorter, it was more like a honda accordion. anyway they ended up totaling the car since it was so expensive to fix. we ended up getting $3100 for it, runnin on 3 cylinders and almost 200k miles... suckers

i wrecked my old 94 lude a few years ago. i slid on a patch of ice at like 5mph and hit a telephone pole. it hit between the rear tire and the door on the rear quarter and pushed it in like a foot and broke the window. i found all used parts except for the quarter panel. it ended up costing over $3k. it cost a ton to install and paint it because the old one has to be cut off and the new one welded in only part of it unbolts. it took 3 full days of work to get it done because of all of the prep work.

i dont know about her insurance company, but with allstate if the damage is more then a thousand dollars they wont just give you the check. theyll put your name and the shops name on it to keep you from just keeping the money. if you are cool with a shop they might just sign the check over to you, ive know that to happen before. if not, maybe you could at least get them to let you find used parts, then maybe you could get a body kit or fix the front end with the rest of the money it if there cool about it. they shouldnt care where the money for the parts goes as long as they get their money for the labor.

also, i hope not but were you hurt at all. not that i am encouraging you to lie, but you can get a lot out of an insurence company for pain and suffering from getting hit. even if you dont actually do anything about it you can use that as leverage if there trying to be stingy.

if it helps at all heres prices on some of the stuff new that you might need. http://www.hondaautomotivepart...PANEL

anyway best of luck to you, i hope you get everything fixed soon.

chances are a new trunk lid, taillight, rear bumper and rear quarter will total your car if it's a 92.

could be good for you if you're in the market to upgrade to a more recent year.

changing a quarter alone on a prelude is roughly $2000-$2500 when it comes to estimates.

i do rebuildables on the side. let me know if you decide to buy back and rebuild. i can hook you up with a body shop.

bgod--i have a question. i got hit in the rear towards the passenger taillight. The lid is gone, the bumper is shot, and the quarter panel. what ballpark figure do you think they will tell me to get it fixed?
