Default acura/alpine cd changer compatiable?

i have the wire that connect to my 97 acura tape deck, but will the cd changer work with a newer one say 00 acura cd player?

i also have an alpine 6-disc w/ my stock acura tapedeck. it might not work, because when my friend replaced his head-unit. he had the same tape-deck as me mated with an alpine 5 disc and the old changer wasn't compatible with the new cd-player. good luck man.

I had a 6 disc changer in my '95 GSR and I pulled it an put it in my '99 GSR and my wife's '00 LS with no problem.
