Hydro gears in a cable trans...
I want to use hydro gears in my b-series cable trans... Some people say I can't do it with the b16a small shaft trans, that I need a big shaft cable trans but that they don't no which to use: big shaft LS or 92/3 GSR YS1... is it possible ??? And if so what do I need.. I want to do this so that I can be able to use the 4.7/4.9 FD...and have newer gears instead of the worn ones I have already...

did you use the main & countershaft from the 00 si tranny, or the ys1? i have a ls ys1, with a itr lsd, and itr 3/4 gears!

The 92-93 ls cable trans. is actually the entire gearset including the final from all the 94 hydro ls. You would use the shift forks from a cable trans since they are different from the hydro stuff. The inside diameter is going to be different from a ls to gsr, but you can have an aftermarket final to whatever u need.
