Default Problem with girlfriend's car

Hey everyone, I have a problem with my girlfriend's car and I was hoping maybe I can get some ideas on a solution. I hope this thread is in the right place, just move it if it's not Oh yeah, sorry for posting a Q about an American car
Her car is a older Pontiac Grand-am, and it's taking in water, she has no clue where. Well I was feeling around the sunroof and I can feel moisture around the edges inside the car. Her headliner is kinda hanging down about an inch by the windshield, so I stuck my fingers up in there and I feel moisture there as well. Now the windshield could be leaking around the seals, but I think the sunroof is the big problem. She's complaining about a mildew smell, so I think the water is coming through the sunroof, and is molding up in the headliner.
I can get rid of the mildew with an ozone blaster I think, and by just airing it out. But it'll come back unless I can keep the water out. She said she doesn't care if the repair job makes her car look ghetto and the sunroof non-functional. So does anyone have any DIY ideas?
What I was thinking about doing was somehow sealing up the sunroof, making it sealed up but unusable. Maybe caucking?
Anyrate, thanks for the help everyone

Was the sunroof put in after she purchased the car? Or did the car come with it? This is a pretty common side effect of aftermarket sunroofs. I honestly, have never heard of a way to fix this. Some other guys may have a solution for you, but all I can think of is silicone caulk. I would try it in between the seal and the sheet metal first. This way she might be able to still use the sunroof. If that doesn't work you will probably need to seal the whole thing up. I'd try posting this in the tech forum as well. You will, most likely, have a much better out come.
