Default Air Temp Sensor Location

I am using the Edlebrock manifold for a D16Y8 on my D16Z6 and have a question about the air intake temp sensor. I wanted to know if there would be any adverse effects by placing the sensor from the manifold to the air intake pipe like on the 96 and up civics. It seems like the easiest fix to my problem without having to machine my new manifold top except the sensor. Any insight would be appreciated.

If you are running a stand alone then you want it to get an accurate reading. You need to know what value, or in this case temp, going into the head. Knowing what is going into your engine is a key factor. So with that said, in the manifold.
