SHUTTERING ENGINE/BLOWN "HEADER" GASKET!!!!!!!!
Hey guys/ladies...i have an important quesiton for all, i hope someone that knows what they are talkin about can answer this question or at least help me solve this problem i have. So i have had a blown gasket in between the flange that connects the upper manifold to the lower (y pipe) header......and i was going home from my university to get it fixed and when i was driving i noticed that my car was shuttering( like when someone stalls a car and its kinda jerky). This only seemed to happen when i was at about 1800 and 3000 rpms. It was so bad that it would make my engine lose all power and it would make back firing sounds...then when the rpms hit 3000 everything seemed fine but when they went back down the problem kept happening!!! So as long as i was about 70 mph the car seemed to run fine....then when i hit the mountain pass my check engine light came on...oil level is fine and so is all important fluids....CAN ANYONE FIGURE THIS ONE OUT FOR ME PLEASE SO I CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!

Well, I really don't see how he two could be related. I've never heard of the symptoms you are describing. Maybe you could ask this question over at http://Accordinglydone.com
