My friend has a 2002... I ran it 3 times and went 15.21, 15.17 and 15.20... that was launching from 5500 and flat shifting from 8000 rpm. I have a 2004 that feels a little faster...

it's slower than most cars to 60, but once you are in the VTEC it's fast as hell.
I'm actually having transmission problems with mine, but most of the time it's really really smooth. Comfortable for long trips....

for 391 a month with 3000 down, I love this car...

low 15's stock usually

i've heard that the stock Bose audio system kinda sucks
the tranny is really close, so watch out for misshifts
great gains from i/h/e setup
not a lot of aftermarket shocks out for the car, unless going full coilover

if you dont have your heart set on the type-s, maybe check out the Mazdaspeed Protege, theyre getting rid of them for the new year. the new Mazda3 will replace them. or, you can look at the WRX

the rsx does 0-60 in the mid 6s. that is NOT slow contrary to what someone posted earlier in this thread. I have an 02 and i love it. no regrets, just change the tires and lower and you are good to go. If you get the car the first 2 mods i would do it injen intake and revo short shifter. They are awesome

The average is about 15.2 like someone said before. I have had the car for about a year and a half and all i have had is good things with the car except the small grind going into second gear if the clutch is not totally pressed. I am probably going to sell the car for an rx7 though just because i will be spending a lot less if i do what im going to do with the rsx.

Stock tires suck for launching. the stock air box is very restrictive. i/e/h usually can free up alot and get you down the track faster. the only mazda id get over a rsx is the rx8 the k20a2 responds nicely to mods.

Front tires @18psi 4200rpm clutch dump ended up with a 2.31 60foot ,and it was 70 degrees out with NO humidity.......If i coulda got a better 60 i think i would of went 14.4xx with a 2.2 or better 60ft.
