B17 distributor firing order?
We are currently working on a b17 and finally have it all together but it does not want to idle. It has spark and fuel but idle like crap for a few seconds and then dies. It sounds like a misfire to me but here is the question: Is the firing order of the distributor the same as all other B-series or is the B17 different?
In addition, when the stock cams were reinstalled, they were set at top dead center by aligning the holes in the cams with the holes in the cam caps. However, when the cams were set this way...the cam gears were not pointing up. They were sitting more like and X. Any input would be helpful guys. Thanks!

yes, firing order is the same.
sounds like your cams are set wrong and thus timing is way off. the two cam gears should both point up when at tdc for the #1 cyl.
