Default tokico blues and H&R race ???

ok , right now I have Tokico blues on shitty *** coil overs. A everyone knows already it rides like ****. The harshness isn't my concern as much as the bounce. I check my struts and then are fine, no leaking! My question is, do I still have some bounce because of the drop or because of the shitty coilovers? I am thinking about getting a set of H&R race but if my current bouncing (which isn't tooo much) is because of being too low, and am I still going to have the problem with the H&Rs.
thanks in advance for any input

I have blues with sportlines, and its not bouncy at all. If I had it to do over I would get adjustable shocks, 1.6 and lower springs puts a lot of stress on non adjustable shocks. So, try the H&R, but your shocks may wear out fast. My 2 cents. Ryan

PS, H&R race are similar to sportlines, right?

I have blues and h&r sports... I wouldn't say its a boucny ride really...unless i got use to it or something. Going over bumps sometimes its a lil bouncy because they are stiffer, but all in all, i would say no. Little too much of a drop for me though for daily driving, i cracked my exhaust manifold open 3 times since i dropped.

I had a 01 VW Golf 1.8t with bilsteins and H&R Race. I loved the way that it rode and handled. I want to try to get the same with my crx. Do you think that I have to change my struts or are the blues good enough?

Don't expect the CRX to ride anything like your VW. VW's are awesome on the streets, but suck when you push them. CRX's are almost opposite, not so awesome on the streets over little bumps, etc., but they are quite predictable when pushed. Depending on how old your shocks are and how much drop you had, they may be blown or worn. They won't leak out of the top or anything, but they won't respond at the same rate as when new. I have H&R races on my car and they are pretty good at the track, but beat on shocks. Even if you got new shocks, I would bet that they would only last 2-3 years with race springs.

i have tokico blues & h&r race springs 2.25 lowered on my 90 crxsi since late 97, its was stiff so over bumpy roads its gonna ride like the road, but not a real crazy bounce, like if youre shocks were blown. Unfortunately, after 6yrs, my tokicos finally gave out, blown all 4.
I dont know how old youre setup or drop you have but sounds like those are startng to going out, may wanna check them out, because mine arent leaking, and theyre shot, my car wobbles in the corners and bounces like a trampoline on crappy roads.
