Well, the tanker is mad at me again for some reason. At full throttle, car bogs severely at 4500 rpm, then acts as if it's catching up to itself through vtec. It's probably some sort of ignitor problem.... plugs? distributor? timing off? too little or too much fuel? coils in the distributor? fuel filter? poo on the rotor?
Fuel set up is Vortech Fuel Rail, Vortech FPR, Walbro 255, VAFC
any suggestions where to start? Same symptons coming back from expo before the R hit the tow truck

Don't integra's have a fail safe that turns the car off though if your timing belt should miss a tooth on a cam gear?
Did this happen to you Marc?

Not BS, reality!
This past summer a friend and I were driving from work in his 98' GSR. There was a bang bang (flame suit ready) and then nothing, the motor just turned off and wouldn't kick over again.
When we opened it up the next day we saw that the timing belt had skipped a tooth some how( guessing that much, because of the amount of slack in the belt) and grinded into the shield.
Figured the reason for the motor shutting off would be to prevent valves from bending and other catostrophic **** happening to your motor.

I had the same problem with my 2000 R a couple weeks ago. I took it to Acura and they changed the whole distrubitor, the spark plugs, and the wires. This still didn't fix the problem. It ended up being the throttle body and the sensor that lies on it. It is a hard problem to diagnose, it could be a number of things. good luck
Marc...
Sounds like mine when my distributor died too, except mine was doing other weird things as well. Change that out if you or some of your Florida buddies have an extra laying around.
Its an easy test...
BTW...how many times has that thing died on you now? You need to rebuild again...

Coils in the distributor were replaced on the way back from Expo in April. I don't think it's that, or at least I hope not...

although we've had a lot of rain lately, it's beautiful today and she limped in to work.

You fixed it before? I thought the only thing you did was get the car kicked out of all future CFR SCCA autocrosses by driving like an idiot at the fairgrounds? (or have they forgotten and let marc back in?)
