Heres the pitch. Is there anyone in San Diego area who would have a stock crx Si
and would like a b16a1 swap?
If u are knowledgable and would like to swap with me. Its your for the price of your SMOGGABLE D16A6. Deal includes u paying for a smog check prior to the swap. The smog after is my problem. So one, u will just be smogged. 2 you will have yer nice b16a1 swap done right after.
I have some knowledge of swaps. I did not do the original swap BUT this is engine #2 which I DID SWITCH OUT MYSELF.
Swap comes with everything you need and MORE if wanted
b16a
j1 tranny. S1 tranny.
extra b16a head. complete wit intake manifold, tb , etc.
ACT HD Pressure PLate with Organic Street Disc. 3000K miles at MOST.
axles which fit with this swap.
custom mounts which fit CRX Si. (should be direct bolt in)
stock exhaust manifold. DC exhaust manifold for b series (if wanted is used and has dents)
Pr3 ecu STOCK
custom shift linkage that is the smoothest ive shifted with for a swap of this year.
FOR ALL THIS. I would like in return.
Your complete d16a6 assembly which passed smog before removal. 30 dollar fee for smogging or something( which u pay)
that includes mounts, ecu, shift linkage, axles, etc.
If you do not know how to swap. I can swap it for 200 bux. If you help(must know what he/she is doing) I will charge nothing to swap.
You will be let to drive the vehicle before making a decision. as I would like to drive yours in return. ENGINE MUST BE CLEAN. My motor is CLEAN.

Motor also has brand new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, timing tensioner, all new plugs NGK-BKR6E-N-11, new plug wires. all have less than 3000 miles on them. Also has Mugen baffled oil pan.
I change the oil every 500 miles. and every 1000 for the tranny.
Also have full maintenance manual. for the CRX WITH b16a. not the crx US version. its the crx with the b16a STOCK. wit pr3 etc. all in english.

Wow great deal. I would do this in a heartbeat if I was local. I'm in NORCAL. I have a 88 CRXSi complete swap minus the intake mani and shift linkage, that I pulled out of a CRX Si w only 77k on it. I have the cluster to prove it. ( I purchased the whole car from my buddy) but I sold the Intake manifold. I may be able to get one. Judging by your profile looks like you are in escondido. I'd be willing to give you that motor and some cash for your swap. I know the car smogged because he just bought the car two weeks before a tree fell and crushed the rear half, and had to smog it. This distance/logistics thing might be an issue
but we might be able to work something out. I can help with the swap, I removed the motor myself and have done other work to my cars.
I'd offer you the swap that is in my car but it has over 200 k on it and has a very mild Gude cam that might cause it to not pass smog.

would an 88 be legal in a 91? is my question.
i have been told by the referee it has to be the same year OR newer.
and when u say complete swap, is that everything but what u say? motor mounts, ecu, etc??
the distance is another problem. i think the biggest is the distance. car needs to be able to go down for at least a 2 days. 1 day to do it. and 1 day to verify make sure everythings properly done. i will not do a single day swap. both cars must be driveable with no problems before the deal is complete.
ALSO WILLING TO BE PRIOR REMOVED FOR QUICK DROP OFF PICK UP.
as this is my only car reliable enough to drive any long distance me delivering is undoable.
