Default VAFC and Kenji ECU?

Has anyone here gotten any gains out of using a VAFC to tune a Kenji-spec ECU? I really dont know much about tuning these things, but was interested to see if i bought a VAFC, i could lean out the car a bit and gain some hp/tq. Info or plots would be great.

there was a post on this a while back. Kenji (OBD-I) gives a better base map to work off of, but still runs rich. Personally, im looking into a V-AFC 2 and a good 1.5 hrs of dyno tuning.

For a few $$ more, you can get Hondata or PowerFC.

The cost for V-AFC, FPR and Kenji ECU + Adaptor was running too high for me. I think Hondata would've been a lot more cost effective in the long run.

For your buck, I would do V-AFC + dyno tuning at first. Or, if you have money Hondata or PowerFC.

I asked KEnji about this actually. I think he said not to bother with his ECU if you had a VAFC.

Yea my #1 choice would be to have a hondata tuned, but i dont know of any good tuners in ohio or nearby. If anyone knows of good tuners in the OH, MI, PA area, let me know... otherwise looks like i may take a trip down south.

That map will run rich in some parts of the rpm band and lean in others.

Basically, what B18CXr said!
