For now they are just for looks, I have 17" Motegi MR12's. Saving for Buddy Club coilovers and CE28N's.

I came to get the Type S engine for a good deal, so I went with that.

I know, its crazy, my old engine had 47,000km on it, in less than 1 year of ownership, and the Type S engine I put in had only 8,000km. Talk about starting fresh, lol.

Why use the ITR ECU? I doubt it was optimized for a k20a2.

The ECU has many good points, 1: higher redline, 2: earlier VTEC crossover, 3: gain in HP across the powerband due to less emisions control. I have yet to dyno my car after the swap, but when i do, i will run both ECU's for comparism. I have heard an 8whp increase is common.

Downside, You MUST run 94 octane.

wow, nice swap there. a CTR OEM kit would def, finish the car off nicely

just wondering, with the ITR ECU since it goes to 8400 RPM, would it cause damage to the motor? being that the Type-S has an 8000 RPM redline.

eg_nezay - Thanks, I got the swap because it came easier to me, the Greddy option would have been my next choice for sure. Thanks for all your help.

I am wanting to get the CTR kit sometime in the next year, after suspension, wheels and brakes.
