crx si - pcv valve removal

well im dumbfounded. Ive replaced pcv's on gsr, civic, and crx dx... i just pull and the pcv valve comes out. but on this 88 crx si, i cant seem to remove it. Any tricks to get it off?

use pliars. thats how i took mine out. or it might be easier to unplug the hose from below.
