Where can I find more prothane/marine grease?
Okay,
I've read the previous posts on this subject so I hit the local marine shops. Not a single guy behind the counter knew what I was talking about (big surprise)
Another guy who happened to be checking out at the counter had overheard me talking and knew exactly what I was talking about. He said he had some. Great! I ask him where he got it. He says it came when he bought his Mercury outbourd, but any store that sells Mercury motors should have it. The stores I checked (even the ones that carried Mercury motors) had no idea what I was talking about. Please, I need more of this stuff for the urethane bushings and I really don't want to hear any squeaks.
Many thanks.

there are many types of motor oils and related lubs for motors.
TCW-3--a lubricant mixed with gasoline for use in 2 cycle outboards.
There is a lube called lower unit lube or gear lube. IT is used to go in the foot of outboards or lubricating the gears in the foot...or lower unit.
be allittle more specific please. I work in a marine supply store. I probably have it i just need you to be alittle more specific and i can guide you in the right direction.

Thanks for the help. Sorry if I sounded over critical. I was just really frustrated. As far as the grease. It's no the lower unit stuff or the TCW-3. The stuff is identical to the grease Prothane/Energy Suspension provides with their urethane bushings.
It's clear, however looks opaque when in large quantities. It's very very thick and sticky. Once on your hands it's very difficult to wash off, even with the pumice stuff in the orange containers. You gotta SCRUB-like scotch brite-it off. That's why it's so ideal for the urethane-it doesn't wear away easily. I wish I could give you the exact name.
Anyone else know the correct name for this grease?

Go to http://www.suspension.com, they sell 1oz. containers for $2.00, and 8oz. containers for $8.00. I can't remeber the name but they'll know what your talking about.
