i want to piece together my own turbo kit for an '01 coupe 4cyl. i already have an intake and header. i heard from my friend that a first gen DSM intake manifold will fit if you bore it out. the motor is stock, so im also wondering what initial upgrades (pistons, injectors, valves) i should make before bolting the turbo on so i dont blow anything. i still have 20k left on my warranty, but want to have the parts all ready to go when that day comes

 

A 1G DSM turbo manifold won't work on the F23. It will bolt up very nicely to the F22, though. Either make your own, or get one made for a late-90s CL. If i were you, I would just buy a kit from F-MAX, or DRAG.
