Default Weird Smell

I have a 00 Accord 4 Cyl. It has been like a week and I keep getting a weird smell from the passenger side rear tire. The smell seems to be coming from the brake. It smells kind of like something is overheating. The car is breaking fine and I don't hear any noises when I brake. What could it be?

I am also thinking about getting Tein SS this weekend. What do you guys think about these. I have done some research and they look like a really great coilovers.

i don't think its your brakes. But the muffler is on that side. Look underneath to see if something like plastic is melting on any part of the exhaust.

Man your right, just behind the muffler it seems that some kind to plastic bag got caught and melted on there. I wasn't sure if that was the smell. Any suggestions on how to get it off because when the exhaust is cold the plastic hardens and when its hot its to hot to tough. If I scrape it off with a knife when the exhaust is hot, is there any danger of damaging the finish on the exhaust. By the way I have a Greddy SP.

you want to scrape it off?

how about just turn the car on, get under there and as the piping heats up scrape it off. dont worry about ruining the finish, it's metal and it's under your car.

my friend melted his rear bumper on his teg with a rice rocket muffler, the plastic stuck there and nothing will get it loosed up, I was trying to tell him to use the torch but he's too lazy to take off the whole exhaust

Hot or cold it's a pain to get plastic off your exhaust. I prefer to do it cold and use a hammer and a chisel or crappy screwdriver to chip it off. Then a grinder with a wire wheel to get the little that's left. Be thankful it hit that far back. We had a kid bring an Integra in with no splash shields so his engine compartment would have more airflow. His parents paid us 6 hrs of time to clean up a bag that had stuck to his header about 6 inches from the exhaust ports.
