Default Having issues with my 89 Legend...need help/thoughts

i bought an 89 legend auto that was missing a transmission cuz the rest of the car was solid. I dropped 1700 including a used tranny and a battery, radiator and a tie rod end to get it on the road. I'm having the following problems:

The S3 light keeps blinking on and off (this in the owners manual meant that theres a malfunction with the transmission)
the Anti-Lock light is on (but the shop said the brakes were fine and they feel fine on the road)
The Speedo and Odometer (regular and trip) are dead but the Tach works fine.

It also sometimes does'nt start. It feels like i'm tripping a safety mechanism (possible the park/start thing) or something. (Like with my 98 tacoma if you dont press the clutch in it wont turn over)

The transmission seems to work fine. I drove it around all last night and it feels fine shifted great and got up to speed in D.. i did'nt try the s3 or s4 because of the blinking light thing.

if anyone has any idea what's going on with this thing before I take it back to the installers.. please LMK

thanks,
Mike

I have had the same problem as you. The S3 light keeps blinking because the speedometer cable is either not hooked up or is broken. The odometer will not work if the speedo cable is not connected to the transmission, too. It is most likely not a tranny malfunction. The cable cost me about $20 at the dealer.
The ALB light lights up when the battery voltage drops below a certain level and the ALB cannot function. Hope this helps.
