Interior Removal (seats/door sills): How easy to remove?
I'm wondering how easy it is to remove the front/rear seats as well as the cloth door seals on either side of the doors?
Easy task? How many difficulty
's would you rank it out of

? About how many hours would you say it takes to disassemble and remove from the vehicle?
Thanks!

It's not difficult at all. Shouldn't take you more than an hour tops if you know what you're doing.
To remove the backseats, start by folding down the backs as if you were putting something large in the trunk. Now, at the base of the seats on the sides closest to the 'walls' of the car, you'll notice these black plastic clips that secure the seatbacks to this metal rod. Take those off carefully using needlenose pliers, make sure not to lose them. Then push each halve of the seatback TOWARDS the outside of the car, and they should pop loose, take them right out.
For the bottom half of the rear seat, there's one 10 or 12 mm bolt that secures it to the car. Remove that bolt, and then lift/pry the bottom of the seat towards the front of the car, you might have to wiggle it a bit but it should come out. Done deal.
For the front seats, I would just recommend unbolting the rails from the car itself. There are 4 bolts for each set of rails, remove those and you should be good to go.
To remove the door panels, start by taking out the plastic screw thats closest to the front of the car- you can't see it when the door is closed, but when you have the door open, it's visible. Now look inside the 'handle' or whatever you'd call it... the thing you grab to close the door from inside. There's a screw inside the bottom of that, remove the screw. There's also a screw located by the actual door handle to open the door. There's a little cover over the screw that you can pop open using a small flathead screwdriver or a knife tip. Remove that screw. Now carefully pull upwards on the door panel to free it from whatever holds it to the door. Once free, you'll need to unplug the harnesses that power the locks and windows. Once you unclip those, you're good to go.
I haven't done any of these projects in a while but I don't think I left anything out. If I did, feel free to chime in.

^ Pretty much covered it all
Shoudln't take you more than 30-45 minutes
This is one of those things that once youve done it or seen it done once it's a piece of cake. Just take your time the first time and make sure you dont break anything

dude while you're at it, rent (or buy) yourself a heat gun, a few beers, and invite some buddies over and go at the sound deadening tar, it'll look cleaner, plus the carpet too, haha let's not forget that.
Sound deadening removal is not retarted for a daily driver.ITR makes an awesome daily driver and it has no sound deadening material.
HOWEVER... WHY do you want to remove all these things from the interior of your car? You know this will seriously screw up the handling of your car.
Your back seats actually bolster up the frame of the car which helps when making turns.
The only reason you would want to do this is on a day you are going to run 1/4.
Even then it makes very little difference.

Simple, take a look at my sig, I'm selling my cloth interior (seats, panels, etc..) and purchasing a leather interior.
Fantastic directions, Dr. Feelgoo! I'll be printing out this thread and following your instructions.

I know that you have been on H-T for a while, but you really need to stop the negative comments to everyone. He wanted to know how to take it out, if you know then help him. If not don't post anything.
It is easy, the seats, just undo the 4 bolts holding them on. Rears can be a pain though, be patient.

Ah okay cool lol. I must have missed that. There have been countless weight reduction posts on here and the same questions always come up.
People fail to realize that the back seats serve a purpose other than to sit in them.
Neway. Cool beans.
