hello, this is jesse from jackson, tn and am doing a b18 swap with b16 pistons and a b16 tranny into my 91 Civic si 3dr and i have a few questions. i currently have a 92 teg that i am selling, but the tranny kinda sucks. i also have a 91 teg that is the donor car for my Ef swap.

before you say this is in the wrong forum read the entire post. i have a 92 integra and a 91 integra. i want to put the 91 teg tranny in the 92. can i use my clutch/flywheel from the 92 or will i have to get a different one? do the flywheels interchange? basically what i am asking is which clutch/flywheel combo will i need to use from the two trannies.

i am going to use the 91 ls motor with an s1 b16a tranny i have and put it in my 91 Ef. what year b-series clutch would i buy? which flywheel would i use, the 91 or 92? or if i ordered a lightened flywheel what car/tranny would i order it for? b18? b16?

also the b16a s1 tranny does not have a 5th gear and fifth gear syncro and i want to put an ls 5th gear in it. i heard you could only use the ls gears from a 90-91 teg tranny, is that true? i want to use the parts from the 92 teg tranny if i can. do i need a syncro from a b16 tranny or will an ls work?

thanks bro. i had actually found that post before somewhere else, i just wanted a second opinion about only being able to use the gears from the 90-91 ls tranny.

I think you need to buy the flywheel/clutch for the year of your tranny

 

90-91 and 92-93 teggy clutch discs are different. However, i believe the press. plate, throw out bearing, and flywheel are not, they can be interchanged.
