Default Offical All-Motor Street class shootout EVENT

Here is the deal. Many of us would like us to have one HUGE street car shootout. A track in the mid west definetly is the most accesable to both east coast and west coast racers. We have decided to hold this "event" at an existing NDRA race b/c the NDRA sactioning body is by far the largest series with level playing rules for street class cars. Where will this race go down? You decide.

One last thing, when considering either of the Texas events. Please remember that historically it is VERY rainy in that region during October. Last year's NDRA event as well as the IMPORT CHALLENGE held there about 2 years ago have gotten rained out. It would be senseless for east and west coast racers to travel all the way out to texas for nothing. Im sure there have been more, but i dont recall them. However, in the event the houston (baytown) race is rained out, there is an option to race the following weekend in Dallas.

may also be worthwhile for all those who would like to compete from the East coast, should contribute XXX amount of $$$ to hire a rig to transport the street cars. If 15 people chip in for a rig and the rig brings the cars out there for us that'll work.

do the smae for the West coast people. We all meet in the middle, and compete East vs. West

I have 5 cars in mind between the NJ/NY people ... I'm sure I can get them to chip in.

Lemme know what you think as not everyone can afford to transport to mid-west especailly to compete in a "street" car without strong sponsors.

I picked St Louis because its a nicer track, and its right on the river...and St Louis should have some good food\drink\bitches so we can all hangout afterwards.

Suprdave

If this gets momentum, I bet we could get NDRA to expand to a 16 car field with some sort of television mention...big trophy.

You can run skinnies in the back for ndra. And interior I believe that you have to have your interior from the front seats up. You can remove the back seats and the panels in the back. If I am wrong someone correct, I don't want to pass false info. Good idea, hope this happens.

Im not being a dick ok.. dont get me wrong.
But with an attitude like that and being Bias for location, this event is not going to happen.

Be open minded and choose in regards to other's locations and the quality of the track.

los angeles to st louis, mo - 1825 miles

washington, dc to baytown, tx - 1395 miles

obviously it more fair to meet in texas, however we should take the time of year into account.

The event will use NDRA Rules:

Interior Front Seats Forward
No Fuel Cell\Lexan

ITB's Allowed? They should be...all you cali guys love using them, your gonna need all the help you can get.

I'm down for Dallas or St Louis. Both are good tracks, St Louis being better...

ok got a question for u guys on the east do u think theres a track that we can just rent out our selves? like over here we can rent out lacr for $400 for the day i mean its not the best example but u guys know what i mean. cause then we can really settle this once and for all. it will be like its suppost to be a real street race we can challenge who we want to race and for ends $$$$$$$ none of this bullshit u cant run cause u dont have a cage, thats my discission weather i want to put a cage or not and from what i know is i couldnt run my car on the street cause first, no one will run my *** cause that already tells them my car runs at least 11.99 or fasterand second the kind of cage i would need i wouldnt even want to drive it on the the street cause either cops would roll my *** or just for the hassle on getting in and out of my car, lets do it like its suppost to go down. see cause i know u east coast cars r fast and i respect that and u guys run mostly on the track and have cages and **** but over here on the west we do things a little different its all about low profile and keeping your **** on the d.l. see i make my money on the streets so i have no cage i make my **** look stock so i can get money races also i dont bring my **** to the track not only so i dont put my **** on blast but also i cant cause no cage. i know u east coast guys dont know about me or know what im about but i know the all the west coast fastests guys and they can vouch for me and tell u im not about no bullshit and i back my **** up but i dont think this **** will work unless its done like the way i said. cause to find out who has the actual fastest street car, it can only go like this u guys will be very surprised on how many real street cars that have broken the times u guys have posted and just have put it on blast. "lucky mike-matt, max, infinite mikie-johnny,jerry-trevor,chris w,jason w, skin mike-eugine,doug,eric-tim u guys know whats up lets do this if not then we really wont know whos the fastest. p.s. this is for honda's 4 cylinder turbo, motor, nitrous anything goes just as long as its a street car registration, insured and the vins match up to the license plate and registration no classes nothin just u bring your guys and we'll bring ares and who ever wants to run hit them up doesnt matter if its for cash or not just see who wants to race who's **** and u ************* know theres more money to be made like this then any event and we all respect eachother in one way or another so lets start walking the walk and stop all the talk k

If you dont want your **** on 'blast' or whatever, then dont come...

But then don't claim to be one of the fastest.

This **** is going down at an event if It's going to happen. Everyone is bitching about traveling, you think anyone is gonna drop loot on renting the track? Last I heard its like 10 Grand a day with insurance and EMT, **** like that...

i can speak for this guy when he says he is old school and fast. his car is an ACTUAL STREET CAR. he will get tossed from a track bacause of the lack of a cage, not for any other reason. i don't know how it is back east, but if we have a roll cage in our street car out here, we will get hassled relentlessly. let alone the fact that there are a lot of street cars out here that actually do race on the street, and having a cage immediately blows any sort of chance you have to be able to hustle by saying the car is slow. everyone knows that the only way a "title" can be given is if we are all at the same place under the same rules and conditions, no one is disputing that, but if we just want to do this street car style with actual STREET CARS, i think we may need to find some other conclusion rather than only at an event.

whats up mike and as for dave im not trying to say im the fastest but i would like to race to see, if moneys on the line bro. ive been doing this **** since 90 and ive seen lots of guys come and go and say there fast and win a event then right after the event get hit up to run take it out and then get there *** handed to them on the street. and as for the track your wrong cause im sure theres a track in the middle like in kansas, oklahoma or texas that has a track for rent real cheap that way no one can bitch about whos closer and **** cause thats in the middle and we prep the track ourselves just like we do with a big race on the street. i dont know the whole deal about track **** im a street guy but im sure if we can rent lacr for $400 here in cali then i know we can get something just as cheap in the mid states. listen bro we all have r states and group of friends that all raced eachother and then theres no more money to make or no one else to race cause everyone knows who has what and how fast there **** is this just make the street scene and money pool way bigger u know i thought u east coast guys would love this idea since supposedly u guys are all about the streets im not speaking for everyone on the west or anything but i bet "which im a betting man as u can see" that most the west coast would be down as **** for this

i said st louis was in the middle of the country. so if i could change my vote i would change it to st louis. but its still a haul for you west coast guys.

Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 1827.15 miles
27 hours, 20 minutes from la to st louis

Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 630.62 miles
10 hours, 22 minutes from dallas to st louis

Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 953.01 miles
14 hours, 56 minutes from ny to st louis

Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 497.80 miles
7 hours, 31 minutes from green bay wi to st louis

Total Estimated Time: Total Distance: 1011.88 miles
16 hours, 15 minutes from tamps to st louis

still far for the west coast guys but its a fair area to have something like setup.

i realize that texas may be a little closer, but i dont think you guys know the history with that track and events getting rained out. SECONDLY. why does everyone want the event to be in ennis rather than baytown? there is no chance of rescheduling if ennis is rained out, where as we can run the very next weekend AT ennis if baytown is rained out?!

what a waste of bandwidth.

you east coasters take this crap way to serious.

this will never happen. economics play into this as well. our cost of living is higher here and jobs are scarce and always on the brink of being lost.

i just dont see people here spending money to travel, taking time off work, and then even maybe blowing their car, just to prove themselves to the VERY FEW on this web-site that seem to care so much.

cali kids just dont care that much...

personal opinions of course.
