Help: Squeal from engine bay
Hi-
I have a 98 LS 5 sp w/ 67K. At approx. 1900 rpm (in neutral or moving) I get a squeal noise from my engine bay area. It is only noticable with the window down or with the hood open, and comes on/goes off each time the engine speed goes through the 1800-1900 rpm range. It does not occur at any other speeds, and sounds like a bad belt- but the belts look ok. They are all fairly tight/normal, and the sound seems like it is coming from the alternator area.
Any help would be great. Thanks!!
