Hey guys and gals. I'm new to this forum (my DC2R was stolen last week). I'm really considering the Si. Forgive my ignorance but what are the major differences between the 160hp engine and the Type S 200hp engine? Would it be worth the hassle to swap one with the other? Or should I just hop into the RSX Type S and save the hassle but pay throught the nose upfront? Thanks in advance for the info. Hope to be in this forum soon with new pics!

 

just get the Type-S bro. Alot better of a car IMO.

 

If you can afford type s , go for it without a dobut.I have 03 si and planning to swap eventually.Stock si's interior is fantastic though..

 

like the others have said, if you can, go with the type s, stock to stock, the type s out do the ep's (not ragging on the ep, just the truth).

 

Best I can say is the SI has a fake vtec system, and the RSX-S has a real vtec system. In that both the intake and exhaust cams have vtec lobes...Also there are two guys on http://www.clubrsx.com with the basic upgrades and Hondata-4 that have hit the 13.1 or so 1/4 mile.
