Default New Paint, Driven in winter?

I am about finished all my body work on my car and will have it done, certified and bran new paint courtesy of maacos dual stage. Was thinking of a dark blue. Problem is I wanted to get my car on the road before christmas but if I get a new paintjob would it really kill it to just drive it in the snow right away. Im in lower ontario so the snow can get fairly bad and they do salt roads around here. Just wanna know if a paint job can be driven on right away.

Or should I wait til March to bring it out and continue to walk around?
Or should I primer the car and drive it throug the winter?

I do have a body kit/hood/wing so... I dunno

ok you got three questions there ill try to answer to the best of my knowledge

1) should you paint and drive the car in the winter?

**** You can as long as the paint is dry it shouldn't effect nothing from the winter unless you hit something of course
There is nothing wrong with painting it and driving around, incase you havent noticed most wreaks happen during winter time and thats when the body shops are busy so it will be just fine to do it and drive
Just no waxing for around 6 months after paint like usual

2) can you primer and drive it around?

*** NO
primers absorb moisture which will start to cause rust under the paint after being exposed to the weather for some time

3) should you wait till spring and then paint the car?

******* thats up to you and your choice into considering your way of getting around

if you can wait id say get it painted then store it from the winter in a garage or something so you can bring it out in the spring and the roads will also be better at that time

ya the thing is my grandparents are offerring to pay a full year of insurance and @ around 3200 bucks. I am going to ask for them to pay 6months and give me the rest for the paint. I am going to maaco because I know the owner and am sure itll be done right. The one package they have is like 800 I think for the paint then a clear coat and a nice warranty. Going to get either a dark blue or a dark metallic silver.

Dont care much about my rims since there oem 92 ludes. Anyone see a downside to driving my car in the winter through snow. I would avoid most major salted road ways and wash my car with the hose just to get the salt off a few times a week, any damage that can be cause.

Its only maaco but I think there starting to get a good name
