i have a 94 civic and was about to put a gsr into but then it become around 4000 for the swap so i thought that i could get the ls swap for around 1900. does anyone hav a ls turbo. not ls/vtec just ls turbo. if so then please post your htoughts and dyno numbers or time. a friend of mine told me to buy the soch turbo kit from greddy and change the maifold. that should be good. does anyone have a ls swap for sale?

try a search a lot of people have ls t setups they usually are always happy and on a mild setup you could easilly pull 210-220 and the turn up the boost at the track and get up to 250 on a stock block...

I woudl take a gsr turbo setup over an ls any day, but you cant beat the price(bang for the buck) of the turbo ls setup

First off let me say $1900 is way overpriced for an ls swap, a complete one with low miles shoudl run you about $1,500 tops.

For 4k you coudl make between 260-290 whp safely! On a basic ls turbo setup most make around 200-230 on 7-9 psi.

Hondata has done wonders with stock hoinda motors these days. SOme of my friends setups

*Direp972 230/200 on revhard kit 8 psi
Direp972 274/24x on 12 psi hondata/stock mtr/550cc
4u2nv 280/242 10.5 psi hondata/550 setup is now in redlinegsr's car
Hybridcivicls-T 265/23x 10 psi hondata 550cc

So far i ahve spent a total of $3,200 for my complete custom turbo setup, this inclused everything turbo kit, gauges, exhuast, down to all the bolts, studs, ect...

Im jaunaury im upgrading to hondata/550cc/tuning
This will run me another 1000

so for about 4k im going to be making close to 300 if not 300 with 4k in my lil ole ls motor, not bad if you ask me

If your looking for the most power out of your 4k then turbo ls is the way to go.

3000??????? ok, just so u know for a ls swap, you could ship your car to Tennessee, let me give u a rebuilt ls complete swap, send it back and still save tons and thats talkin, new apr rod bolts (give out easily) lower compression pistons) , apr head bolts, etc.. etc.... and I gaurantee that your shop is not going to do what is right if they are that insane...... 3000 would almost get you a b18c1.... thats more realistic... or maybe a b16a2... complete swap, but that too, is realitively cheaper than the price u gave

i guess it depends on the swap. people have brought in these magical $1500 complete swaps and their garbage.most of the time every oil seal is leaking, sensors are trashed, axles are broken, there's high mileage on the motoe and the water pump and oil pump are garbage.you can end up spending more than 3 grand right away.

$3000 for an LS swap? Holy crap! I will sell you my complete LS motor for $600 and you can do what you want from there. Just to put the installation into perspective, my friend who is not a certified mechanic, swapped a complete GSR motor into a civic hatch BY HIMSELF in one night with simple tools and an engine hoist!
