AEM Brake Pads
Heys Guys I'm new here, Welp.. this is the setup, The car has 4-pot Spoon Calipers, Braided lines, Motul Brake fluid, Aem pads, and for tires I'm running the Michelin Pilot sport cups, on stock ITR's. I don't understand the brakes in the ITR, when i had the stock calipers on, it never made these lockups. I literally went around the track two times, soaked some heat into the brakes, and immediately as I went onto the third lap, the brake pedal went completely to the floor. I pumped the brakes, checked the brake fluid, brake fluid was fine, no boiling no nothing. Has anyone had any complaints about the Spoon calipers? I don't think its the calipers, but the AEM pads. The car mostly is daily driver and I take it to track days once every three months. I've talked to some people at Cobalt, and they said, running a GT Sport pad for the streets gonna be too much. They also said their making a street pad, which isnt that extreme of the GT-Sport. I'm sure you guys had experimented with the pads. Do you think they'll be okay for street use, while obtaining a good pad on the track as well?
Thanks for the help guys
Thanks for the help guys
aem = street pad
bleed your brakes and get some track pads for track use (with a set of rotors to swap them with).
before your track event swap the pads and rotors over and keep the street pads for street use.
