New Integra Black Projectors good for HID???
I'm sure many of you have noticed these new black housing projector lights for the Integra. I want to ask if anyone has purchased these projectors for their Integra yet?? And if so, are you using HID? How is the cutoff/glare? I'm planning on buying a black GSR soon, and I think these headlights would look pretty killer especially with HID.
I used to have TYC black projectors for my EF and my HIDs looked pretty nice! The cutoff was pretty clean for non-HID projectors! But I crashed her (RIP) and plan on using my 9006 HID's in my next car.
Thats why I'm asking if anyone knows how well these new Integra projectors perform with/without HID. Anybody with experience or perhaps pics of their Integras with these new projectors??? Thanks!!

I was thinking same thing - since the integra assembly is 2 diff. type of headlight use.
1 shines through and is based off the light bulb itself.
The other is a projector light, exactly what it says, projects light. It relies on the reflective material around it to produce a good amount of light. I was thinking of painting my lights black but i read a few times that the quality and amount of light has reduced.
Now I dont know if this is true for a manufactured item because they probably simply dont paint over a plastic - maybe even have a reflective black material.
My suggestion is call of the manufacturer.

you can find them on ebay now. i just started seeing them about 2 months ago... do a search on "integra halo" or "integra projectors" or "projector". They go for about $250-$300 i think... Pretty pricey! I hope they are still available and much cheaper when I get an Integra!
Sure they look a little ricey, but I like how the outer plastic lenses are completely clear without any kind of design unlike the stock integra headlights...

check out http://streetstyler.com they have the angel eyes headlight projector for integras ... i think $299 for both, i'm thinking of getting one, but kinda ricey
hmm ... maybe i'll think about it somemore

That projector looks smaller, I bet it doesn't take 9006 like stock, which means if you stay halogen, you won't be able to do a 9005 conversion.
They might be easier to retrofit HID projectors into, but I would have to see the insides of the housing to know for sure. It's pretty labor intensive to retrofit OEM projectors into stock Integra headlights.
I painted the projector bezels black on my car, 4300K HID inside stock halogen projectors. It reduced glare above the cutoff line and did not detract at all from the light that shines on the ground.
