Default Aftermarket Hubs, and when to use them ...

Well i recently broke both axles at the track, and when i dissambled everything noticed my hubs were worn and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately i was unsure of what hubs to run. I could get a set of brand new honda hubs which go for about $250CDN, and get a set of gator stage 2 axles, or i could get a set of Prodrive hubs which are $275US with outer joins, studs, and bearing, and add a set of prodrive stage 1 or 2 axles

My question is do i really need aftermarket hubs for a 2.0L all motor car or am i just overkilling?

How much power ? Stock hubs are fine to at least 220 WHP.

why not get them, they are only a few dollars more and im sure they can handle a bit more abuse than factory pieces.

why not get the prodrive hubs and get gator stage 3s? or you can get a modded stage 3 with a stock outer. how much power are you making?

I'm hopping to have around 230-240whp all-motor with my current setup.
I really like the Gator Stage 2's but with the price difference between getting stock hubs and upgraded hubs it's hard to make a choice, i basically just want to get something that i can forget about and never have to worry about breaking.

I'm worried about the prodrive axles themselves since i haven't heard of many people running them, and i really don't want to dish out 4-5bills for something that just going to break anyway

Thanks guys

since you have to replace them anyway I would go ahead and upgrade them.

How do you wear out a hub?
