Default Exhaust ?

How different are the exhaust from a '97 GSR compared to a '00 GSR? A friend just got one ('00 GSR) and wants my exhaust (APex'i N1, I have a '97 GSR) bad so I want to sell it to him to get a thermal or something bigger for turbo possibly, but don't know if it will fit his car? TIA

you will have to double check but I am going to say that as long as the model(LS,GS, ect.) is the same 94-01 will all fit.

I don't believe the header will come back as far on your car but I would think a good exhaust shop could extend the cat back a little and install it. See if this helps.

It'll fit. He'll just have to shorten it about 4-5 inches right before the cat.

True. But most any muffler shop will be able to handle it with ease. I bought an exhaust off of a '98 GSR and bolted it on to my '01 GSR without much problem. I just had to take it in and have it cut and rewelded first.

i hate when people are too afaraid to call a shop. Probably an HR of labor most places charge 65$$. But HT is not a shop call your local mechannic. Almost all shops have welders.

I'm not "afraid to call a shop" I just asked for an approximation from someone whose had the same thing done, didn't know that was a crime

Its not a crime but you have to take into cosideration just how many times 1 question gets asked. for what its worth I ALWAYS do a search before posting a question. You will be suprised how much you will learn.
