My Day of Custom Fabrication @ NRG-tech NY * 56k take a #
This is a preview of the shop where i get my work done to my hatchie, anyone in the surrounding area is welcome to drop by and check them out.
Custom welding was my goal today since my Z10 traction bars were not meant to be used with SI lower control arms, in fact neither are Jimfabs so what i set out to do is have tab custom welded on my lca's in order to bolt up the traction bars and not have to attact them to the fork bolt where the bushing is. this is not a good idea in the long run and defeats the purpose of the traction bar..
check out da shop... cleaaaan.

two owners of NRG-tech (tom is on the left and chris on right) love these guys!

up on the lift ready for work..

tom's car under construction (soon to be unleashed on NY streets)

wunk's (NRG tuner) car under construction as well

a mitsu that stopped by.. nothing but boost.

jose's si awaiting a fully built turbo motor..

this si will be running 10s soon enuff

hmmm... does that go there?

whatever you do dont look directly at the light ...too late..

1 down ..3 more to go..

all done..

changed my rear hub while the welding was being done..

just for kicks this is my old clutch after a 2nd and 3rd gear burnout... toasty!!!

well that wraps up my day.
feel free to check out NRG-tech, u can give them a buzz @ (631) 243-6NRG (6674)

what makes up 5 lug is as simple as the hub, the caliper and the rotor. the knuckle's i believe are all the same. and the trailing arms are all the same. only thing is the crv knuckle will be different and wont bolt up to our trailing arm. since also their caliper will be different and wont have the same clearance with a our knuckle.

Two questions after looking at the pics.
1. You are going to replace the ball joint on that control arm you were welding on right? It looks like it was already shot.
2. Is Tom really planning on running on the street with the fuel system snugged up tight to the rear bumper? It looks like a minor fenderbender could turn it into a flamethrower.
It looks like they were doing good work on the traction bars and the rest of the stuff they were working on looked very professional. Nice to see people who know what they are doing.

1.i told him he should change it... the boot is gone and he should replace the ball joint... ya see manny!
2. yes, my car will be driven on the street on a very limited basis... for a number of reasons... as far as the ful pump location... there really isnt much room to mount them elsewhere
thanks for the compliments

Now of course I want to know what motor you are running that needs TWO big honking pumps with some rather large diameter hose? Fuel cell or stock tank? I'm not a drag racer but can appreciate the knowledge and skill to do it well.
i love miller too.. we are gonna have to fight for it... and toms car is using a sumped stock tank look a little closer in the pic and you will see.
i wish miller wouldnt have sold his eg hatch (the grey one in the pics) but, its good that it is gonna stay in the shop..that car is beautiful. and little tom will be guided to do the best working with these two guys.
best of luck to miller and tom these guys are gonna make a big impact on this sport in due time.

Good work guys. I hated the way those arms mounted to the bushing. As far as NRG Tech, If you dont believe in them, then wait a lil longer, because everyone will know....The numbers in my Signature are only a hint of whats to come....
