Default JDM front end people, how can you run jdm itr OEM HID headlights with the big ABS unit on 94-95 GSRs

JDM front end people, how can you run JDM ITR OEM HID headlights with the big ABS unit from 94-95 GSRs, as the passenger side ballasts can't fit due to the huge ABS unit. Any options here to make it work? Thanks

i have the same problem too on my 94 gsr....your only options are to either install a smaller 96+ abs unit to allow room for the ballasts or to remove entire abs sytsem from your car.

I believe some people have 'remounted' their ABS unit by pushing it back slightly to fit the oem HID ballast. Can someone that has done this chime in?

I have a 95 gsr with the jdm hid front end... we relocated the back half of the pass. side ballast basically leaving it open aka not attached to the rear of the headlight. It may not be the best way but it works....

actually, I think the 98+ abs units are different, the 94-97 should be the same

I know canuckmx6 here has done this, but he told me that it was a pain in the ***. I'm too much of a wuss to attempt it myself.

98+ integras have a smaller abs unit, and therefore dont have any problem with fitment. buy a 98+ abs unit

Anyone figure it out yet? I was looking at my big ABS unit and still cannot figure out how to relocate the ABS unit closer to the firewall.

Come on, I know there are some geniuses on this board...

I just took the back part of the hid off and tied it on with wire, I'm not sure how safe this is thats why I have not wired it up yet but it fits fine now

Actually I just did this. Very Easy. All you have to do is take out the black metal "case" that surrounds the abs unit. Then it will fit

^trust me, its much less of a hassle just to do this. try http://carparts.com or a junkyard for a good price

no, they dont line up perfectly, but you can bend them. or, yeah, you can just get rid of it altogether if you dont care, like he said
