i just had a weird question. i was wondering what way the rsx crank pulley turns when the motor is on. I know that all b, d and h series motors turn counter clockwise. just curious to know if their crank pulleys turn the same way... thanks

SUCK!!!!!!Real VTEC all the way baby....none of that fake iVTEC ****
...........just playin, all I know is that the k20a3 has no VTEC, it fires at 2300 rpm. The type-S motor is pretty cool though. As for your question, I'm pretty sure its the same way, its just that the motor is flipped 180 degrees.

yea i feel you. i vtec is kinda gay but the reason im askin about this is cause i wanna know about their drivetrain. i just wanna know if they really do put power down to the ground a lot better than our motors and why. k20 or not, i still got more love for my h22 eg haha. 13.7@102mph street tires in daily driven trim.

Actually, the k20a3 DOES have VTEC, just not the same VTEC we are all accustomed to in our b, d, h series motors. to my knowledge, the basic concept of VTEC is the variable timing of the valves, correct? the "real" VTEC changes the timing of the valves by using 2 different cam profiles, right? the k20a3, however changes the timing of the valves by only opening 12 of them partly, under 2300rpm. then after 2300rpm, all 16 valves open all the way, that is the thing that "kicks" in (unlike the "real" VTEC where the more aggressive cam engages. the k20a3 has only one cam profile).
