car shakes after all inspections...
hey yall, well, did check out the search engine and didn't seem to find what could be wrong with my car. 96 accord with ground control coilovers and agx shocks...fixed the hub bearing problem, and aligned and all. even had my mechanic check out my axles and said it was fine. but when i cruise or speed up from 40+, car shakes a liil. could feel the vibrations on the floormats but the wheel doesn't shake. what could it be??? need some help...thanks yall....
I have the same problem in my 91 with tons of miles. I thought it would help if I did what you say you have done...good coils and springs, but if you say that doesn't help, I'd like to know what it could be too.
rims are good to go...just had tires replaced and all too. gonna try and take it back to the alignment shop and see what they say. oh, also, about 60 mph, it shakes like no other. is it just accords after a certain miles do this cuz i remember reading about other accords doing the same with lot of miles on it...
my 1990 does the same thing. only between 55 and 70mph though. I've got 248k on mine, original engine/tranny. It helped the vibrating a lot when I went from 14" stock wheels to 16x8" lightweight alloys though.
ok this is really pissin me off....had all my tires replaced, and found hella bad tire...checked my rims...good...and even put my stocks back on...and off...yet, it still shakes and at 60...gets even worse...the whole car shakes...can it be the axles?? do other accords to the same?? please help me with this...really gettin annoying and i can't go anywhere...

haha very funny...after not sleepin for 2 days...u tend to do things weird ok...no im not a druggie...had to get things taken care of...but yea tires and wheels are balanced. everything is fine but just the shaking really gets me annoyed. anybody else going thru the same crap i am??
yea...finally it's been fixed. the problem i guess were the hub bearing, shocks, and tires. my rims are bent a lil bit but no significant shakes. rides like a charm after you've experienced the whole rattling and car convulsing. no shakes or what not but really smooth. oh yea..also had the rotors shaved and that made a huge difference esp with the shakes also. everytime i braked, shook like crazy but now, it's fine and dandy. so if yall have shakes, check ur tires, hub bearings, shocks, and rotors. usually these are one of the main reasons could cause shakes while driving. THANKS ALOT GUYS...appreciate the help. now time to save money for h22 swap.
I just took my friend up to Seattle from central OR, (long *** trip.) I noticed that the shake I had at 70 was worse, and it shook at 80, and 60, it was just shakin like crazy. Now that you mentioned shocks might be a problem, that makes sense. My struts are blown, and I have shi**y studs on and I think Schwabs did a bad job balancing my wheels. Glad to hear you got it taken care of, and now I know what to replace.
