Default 98 typeR - HOLY **** its ForSale for $11,000!

COmpletely Clean! Comptech headers, AEM pulleys, and not sure what else i see in it. All the rest it bone stock@! Very good condition paint. The only thing is, that i need to test drive it tomorrow. ^_~ 76,000 miles. Not bad? Clean Titles!

I think im sure i can bring down the price to low $10's also. Which will be heck of a deal.!!

What you guys think?

[B] PICS up PAGE 2..!!! and more to the bottom of page 2[B]

Nono, I am not selling this. This is out at a local Dealership. Which the 98 typeR is for sale for $11,ooo. (which was given a good deal) maybe lower? The brief specs i gave was what i had seen on the car. Either then that it looks bone stock.

What you think about this deal? I might get a jump on it soon. -=P

(to think about it, yes, i may sound a little as if i was selling it) hehe.

Ill let you guys know how it goes tomorrow, Ill get some pictures by the end of the day tomorrow. -=P

If it seems to good to be true, it usually is

Unfortunately that has always held true, at least in my experiences

before you get overly excited, do the usual and run the numbers thru carfax and check it inside out...maybe bring a mechanic and bodyshop friend along. records or receipts help too

Yea, most likely i will bring out to Acura before purchasing. To get a check up through it. And of course. Carfax will help most likely. (Body seems to be Perfectly Genuine Honda) But yea, always great to give it a backround check.

Im sure i would know if theres something wrong with the Car, since my older brother owns a 02 typeR..... Im very familiar with its Motor, etc.

but yes, always be safe then to be sorry.

you mean 01? anyhow.. see if you can do compression test, coolant pressure test, car may drive fine and still be worth buying, just not for that price if it does have problems. - check out whatever you can..

01 Little to excited about it. hehe, yea, More then likely im sure to ask about warranties they offer also, since this Dealer is really Large. And Compression test, im not sure if i can get a hand on this. Maybe Acura Dealership can help me on that part.

Bring someone that knows Type-R's with you to the dealership. There have been plenty of people that I know that "thought" they got a killer deal, when in fact they got ripped by the dealer.

It could also be that the dealer doesn't know what they have, but not likely.

yeah, bro I bought an ITR this summer, for low price w/ JDM front, Zeals, Spoon wheels, Recaro Interior and lots of extra stuff. Guess what It blew up in a month. I burned an exhaust valve. That thing was ready to die and that's why he sold it. It's to good to be true sometimes. But rebuilding motors are fun, and now I don't have to spend the extra cash to get JDM front , cuz it came with one. :-)

maybe it's not a real R.

i worked at a dealer for almost 4 years, including time in sales.

trust me, the dealer will **** you or they won't sell it. unless this is out in the middle of nowhere where they really might not know what they have, but i have a hard time accepting that the previous owner traded it in for 8k or so.

That really does sound too good to be true. Look into it though and if all seems well, go for it.

One time at a Honda dealership the dipshit salesman thought the EK in there lot was an Si model, he said to me "it'll probably go for about 20k, it's an Si model you know?" (Had an Si cluster) to dumbass salesmen and stealerships.

Update on what happens though...

Wells, where i live, out here in New Mexico. Theft isnt to high here. And also about Car modding? Not much people even go turbo here~ Etc. Just plain Ricers here and there. Its not a salvage Title and the motor stolen? Most likely not, but wont hurt to check the VIN # on it.

What was told from this Salesperson, that the typeR was traded in for a family car. So who knows he was in need of a van? -=P

ONly thing i am Afraid of is, that, who knows he may change out the interior motor? Pistons/Cams/ etc etc....To some stock GSR? -=P But Im sure its not. Since this guy is leaving the goodies in tact with the motor. Comptech Headers 4-2-1...Pulleys...Etc, if he was to want to fraud the setup, im sure the pulleys. intake, headers, etc will be not in there..and more to be Bone stock.

Interior and Exterior is in GOOD condition. Im sure its not a fake. ITR INT/EXT...!

I'll let you guys know by tomorrow about it. Ill get some digi Pix up tomorrow , and you guys be the judge of that. ^_~

Be cautious! Titles can be washed of salvage history by moving a car from one state to another. I would DEFINITELY run a CARFAX

Check for all vins!!! I missed the VIN on my front bumper and hood . Also my headlights were not OEM. Do some serious looking around before you pick this one up. Also ask about a return policy and when you get it home maybe take off the front bumper to check for spot welds. I found rusted welds on my right front radiator support
