Focking side view!#$%^ broken HELP!!
Well today while washing my car, I folded my mirror to wash in the crevises and SNAP.
The thing wont lock into place now. It seems as if there is a spring in there of some sort and it is kinda jigling around. Is there any fix for this, does this happen to anyone???
I know that I have a couple of options
1) Pull the thing off and fix it by some miracle God like honda techway
2) Replace mirror with new mirror and have painted and pay out the wazoo
3) Purchase 3m double sided sticky tape and let it hold it there
I would really like to fix it, so I would love some help..Any love????

Exactly my point, anyone else have this problem.
Where the side mirror on drivers side will not stay at rest. The swivel thing is not locking in place anymore, it does what it wants too.

I wish I could but this is what I have figured out in the last five minutes
The piece that seems to be at least dislocated from mine is related to the spring inside the mirror.
There is a shaft inside the mirror that the mirror pivots around. There is a spring that sits around that shaft. then there is a washer type thing on top of the spring. And on top of that seems to be a locking washer that holds the spring into place. I don't know if my shaft is broken or not, but it seems to be missing a small chunk that could hold it into place.

Ok, so let's go through the logical breakdown step.
First my mirror is broken, so I take it apart, hoping to be able to see what is wrong with it. That seemed to be the case. But the only way to judge is to have a original copy of what it is supposed to be doing.
So I dismantle my drivers side mirror. Seeing what I think to be the problem, I dismantle my passenger side mirror. Hmmmm, looks alot different in here. the setup is exactly how I thought of it.
So I go back to the other side to see if I can get the spring to do what it is supposed to do. Haha, yea right that thing needs alot of pressure to be compressed and I don't have the ***** to get it done.
Freaking mirrors, I now know them inside and out, at least on my car. I don't know how I am going to get this fixed, because it takes alot of pressure to compress the spring inside of that damn thing.
I think that 3M will be my friend at least for a little while.

I hope so, I work at a shop, so hopefully I can get the hook up. but as I explain it to them they don't understand. Hopefully they will see better once they SEE it.
