can i use a 88-91 lude si tranny with a 90 ls engine? they are both b series, and ive heard yes and no

no one has ever done it but, i believe that the tranny will bolt up. and you can also use a Clutch and flywheel for a B16.

only problem, is that the Prelude tranny is cable shifter, and i dont know what the CRX's are. also, if you mate it to that motor then the tranny wont lean backwards like the motor and tranny do in preludes. dont know if that will have an effect or not.

dont listen to those guys in the CRX forum about a prelude, half of the **** they said in that thread were wrong.

check preludepower.com or 3rdgenprelude.com they will have more help for you there

ok so i read all the other post, i dont think it would work, but if its free try it. i have the same stuff ls aut , and b21 laying around, i may try it one day.

also i know when using b21/b20 trannines on each other, you must match flywheel and clutch to tranny. the b21 tranny has better gear ratios then the b20, but dont know how it compared to other b-series.

i would like to try it, but both engines are in parts cars adn i dont feel like ripping them out and trying it. hmm this really sucks big time no one really knows if they do or not..
