Default Old School to New School

Hey guys this is a great forum. I am so glad I found it.
Ok I have and 87 prelude Si 2.0 probably the best work I have ever owned . Its in great condition but I am going to sell it because I want to get serious about ludeing and I want to buy a 95 Lude Vtec 5 spd. I am going to do this in the nest couple of weeks. All I really want to know is what to look fo right now. I know I want a 5spd, and I think I want the Vtec or should I go with the h23.
I know this a long topic but I would really appreciate what your guys opinion is on this matter.
Thanks for you replys

v-tecs are hard to find ... if i were you i would hold off untill you find a v-tec... i own a h23 but if i would do everythin again i would of waited for a v-tec...but dont get me wrong h23 have great potential..... look at XES' lude..... his turbo lude is a motorcycle raper.... hope that was helpful

VTEC

Only comes in 5 speed. Get a 95 or 94

it depends on your goals and your willingness to mod.

it you want something fairly quick out of the box get vtec lude.

if you want to make it fast, but spend the least. buy the s model and swap in an h22.

are you goal a quick daily driver. turbo, n/a, n20? why are you buying the lude? is it cause you like it, and you like speed?

dont buy the lude if your just looking to make a drag car, the h22 yes, lude no. if you love the lude, like we do, anything is possible w/money.

as for things to look for, is it orignal engine? who did the swap, if so. are the front tire bald and back brand new? a leakdown test is your best friend, and his cousin the compression test is a good one also.

Alright Thanks for those replies. I love my lude now so I know I am going to get another one.
I actually have a lead on a 95 Vtec 5spd. I am going to look at it on Sat. I will let you know if I get it. I will keep posting and thanks again for the replies.

euros, a park bench, and a tip. JK I would definately go with a nice suspension combo and maybe a nice set of lightweight wheels....
